SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Amish Cupola offers customer pickup, parcel shipping, freight delivery, and regional delivery depending on the product’s size, destination, and order requirements. Shipping and delivery arrangements may vary for custom and oversized cupolas.
Processing and Production Times
Many of our cupolas are handcrafted or made to order. Production time varies according to the model, size, materials, customization, current workload, and availability of components.
Any production or shipping timeframe provided on a product page, estimate, order confirmation, or customer communication is an estimate rather than a guaranteed completion or delivery date unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
Quick-ship products generally leave sooner than custom or made-to-order products. Production begins after all required specifications, measurements, colors, options, and payments have been received and approved.
We will notify you if we become aware of a significant production or shipping delay.
Shipping Methods
Depending on the product, orders may be shipped or delivered by:
-
UPS, FedEx, or another parcel carrier.
-
Commercial freight carrier.
-
Amish Cupola or an independent regional delivery provider.
-
Customer pickup by appointment.
The shipping method is determined by product size, weight, packaging requirements, destination, accessibility, and cost.
Shipping and Delivery Charges
Shipping or delivery charges may be calculated during checkout, included in a written estimate, invoiced separately, or confirmed after we receive the delivery details.
Oversized, custom, remote-area, limited-access, or residential freight deliveries may require an individual shipping quote. Additional carrier charges may apply for liftgate service, appointment delivery, redelivery, address corrections, storage, restricted access, or other special services.
Customers will be notified of any material additional charge requiring approval before shipment whenever reasonably possible.
Parcel Shipping
Smaller products may ship through UPS, FedEx, or another parcel carrier. Tracking information will be provided when available.
A tracking number may be created before the package is physically collected by the carrier. Carrier transit estimates begin when the shipment is accepted and scanned by the carrier.
Carrier delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by weather, holidays, service interruptions, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Freight Delivery
Larger cupolas and oversized products may be shipped by commercial freight carrier. Unless otherwise stated in writing, freight delivery is curbside delivery and does not include installation, placement on the building, unpacking, debris removal, or movement to another location on the property.
The freight carrier will generally contact the customer to schedule a delivery appointment. The customer is responsible for providing an accurate telephone number and being available to accept delivery.
The customer must ensure that the delivery location is accessible to the type and size of vehicle required. Please notify us before shipment of narrow roads, low branches, weight restrictions, gated entrances, steep or unpaved driveways, construction conditions, or other access limitations.
Any special unloading equipment, additional personnel, or site preparation not expressly included in the order is the customer’s responsibility.
Inspecting Freight Deliveries
Please inspect the shipment carefully before signing the delivery receipt.
If visible damage is present:
-
Photograph the product, packaging, pallet, and damaged areas.
-
Describe the damage clearly on the carrier’s delivery receipt.
-
Refuse delivery if the damage is severe or the product appears unusable.
-
Contact us promptly at sales@amishcupola.com or 866-993-9170.
If concealed damage is discovered after delivery, preserve the product and all packaging and contact us promptly with photographs.
Signing a delivery receipt without noting visible damage may make a freight claim more difficult. Please do not install, modify, repair, or discard a damaged product or its packaging until we have provided instructions, unless immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety.
Regional Delivery
Direct or regional delivery may be available depending on the product, destination, scheduling, and cost. Availability and pricing are determined individually and must be confirmed in writing.
Regional delivery does not include installation, structural work, placement on a roof, permits, equipment rental, or contractor services unless those services are specifically included in the written order.
Customer Pickup
Customer pickup may be available by appointment. We will provide the pickup location and scheduling instructions when the order is ready.
Customers are responsible for bringing a suitable vehicle, trailer, restraints, protective materials, and any necessary assistance. Amish Cupola may decline to load a product when the proposed transportation method appears unsafe or likely to damage the product.
Responsibility for securing the product for transportation rests with the customer or the customer’s carrier after pickup.
Delivery Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping or delivery address, telephone number, and access information.
Please contact us immediately if an address needs to be corrected. Once an order has shipped, we cannot guarantee that a carrier can change the destination. Address-correction, redelivery, storage, return-freight, or reshipment charges resulting from incorrect or incomplete customer information may be the customer’s responsibility.
We do not ship merchandise to our own P.O. box. A physical delivery address is required for customer orders.
Delivery Appointments and Missed Deliveries
Customers must be available for scheduled freight or direct-delivery appointments. Charges arising from a missed appointment, refused shipment without valid cause, inaccessible location, delayed unloading, redelivery, or carrier storage may be charged to the customer.
Please contact us as soon as possible if a scheduled delivery cannot be accepted.
Delays Beyond Our Control
Amish Cupola is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, severe weather, natural disasters, road closures, labor interruptions, material shortages, governmental actions, accidents, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays and assist with carrier issues.
Installation
Shipping or delivery does not include installation unless installation services are expressly listed in the written order.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the product is appropriate for the intended structure and for arranging any necessary contractor, crane, lifting equipment, permits, structural work, or installation services.
